IZOD Indycar series family meets again this year. The first race is going to take place on the St. Petersburg this weekend. The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg takes place in Florida (East Coast) in Tampa Bay, it is a street circuit of 1.8 miles and 14 turns clockwise and a great event to start the season with a total of 110 laps, with the massive influx of people are given the optimum conditions for a great show. This Thursday will be a tribute to Dan Wheldon by drivers and organization in the circuit.

Last year, Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon and Ryan Hunter Reay were in podium , while Ryan Hunter Reay got the championship with Andretti Autosport in their fight until the last race against Justin Wilson. Rokkie of the year was proclaimed the French Simon Pagenoud. All with the new Dallara IndyCar DW12 cars with 550-700 HP V6 12000rpm. Last year best motors were Chevrolet and Honda engines, having a lower performance Lotus motors. This 2013 season will be powered by Honda and Chevrolet. Lotus has decided to focus on other business
Something new appears in this 2013. New P2P “Push to pass” will be standardized  in  all circuits with 10 pushes which will give the car some extra horse power depending on each circuit between 15-20 seconds each push
